AltLaw, an innovative U.S. free access to law service, has been permanently closed, according to a 3 May 2010 announcement on the AltLaw Website.
According to the announcement, copies of AltLaw’s caselaw collections are now available at bulk.resource.org.
AltLaw — founded by Professor Tim Wu of Columbia Law School, Professor Paul Ohm of the University of Colorado School of Law, and Stuart Sierra, assistant director of the Program on Law and Technology at Columbia Law School — was a project of the Program on Law and Technology at Columbia Law School.
