New legal hacking group in Portland, Oregon: PDX Law Hackers

A new legal hacking group is forming in Portland, Oregon, USA: PDX Law Hackers.

John Grant is the organizer.

Here is a description of the group, from the group’s Meetup site:

Portland-area creatives looking to shake-up and dust-off the tired old legal industry. We are lawyers, developers, entrepreneurs, and others who are tired of ballooning fees, wasteful processes, and the high barriers to entry of the legal status quo. We aim to find elegant solutions to legal problems in order to maximize access to legal resources and level the playing field at a reasonable cost to all parties.

This Portland group brings to twelve the number of legal technology hacking and innovation groups that we’ve been able to identify.
